Revised Semester Schedule

After taking into consideration the Homecoming schedule and Veteran’s Day holiday next Tuesday, I am postponing your second exam until next Thursday (one week from today). This exam will cover the material covered in the first exam, material since the first exam (including the lecture on audio and Thursday’s discussion of Audacity and XML).

Also, please be aware that you’ll need a DIFFERENT Scantron form for this exam. Use the pink Scantron form found across campus. I’ll bring one to class on Thursday to show as an example, but be sure to spread the word to your fellow classmates who (for whatever reason) don’t read this blog. On this form, you’ll fill in your PID so that the campus grading service can assign the grades automatically in myUCF Grades. This will save me hours and hours of time, so please be sure to bring the pink Scantron.

Finally, be sure to submit your HW3 tonight.  I’ll be assigning HW4 (the podcast) for you to start on tonight, and it will be due Thursday, Nov 20th.  After that, I’ll be assigning one final HW that you’ll submit by the end of the semester.  So you’ll have six HW assignments (counting the reading as one of the HWs), two exams, a final exam, and the attendance points that I have collected.  I’ll update the syllabus to correctly account for these percentages by when you receive your second exam grade.  You’ll then be able to accurately estimate your final grade and do whatever projections you want to do in preparation for the end of the semester.
