Readings Grade

I have posted your readings grade on myUCF Grades. Remember that this will count as a sixth HW, and should thus be averaged together as a percentage with your other HWs. Their were in total 7 sets of readings throughout the semester. I gave two bonus readings/viewings, one bonus if you did both Cloud Computing and Multi-touch Interfaces, and one bonus because of the holiday due date during the Thanksgiving break.

If you did everything including all bonuses, you could get a max of 10 points. Otherwise, if you did only those that were required, you got 6 possible points. Please check your grade and let me know if I drastically miscounted.

Final Exam Questions

As we did with the second exam, please submit any and all questions about material as comments on this posting. I’ll be keeping tabs on it over the weekend and early next week.

Also, the answer key to both exam one and exam two are up. Use them as a guide to the material we’ve covered this semester.

Sulley Down

Please be advised that the DM server sulley appears to be offline at the moment. According to one of the students, DM is currently unsure when the server will be back online.

I would ask that you take this reminder of hardware/software fallibility to make back-ups of your important documents. You never know when the fail whale will pop up next!

Read the article listed below and post a comment on it. Your comment should be at least two paragraphs and reflect your take on the contents of the articles. Do NOT skim or altogether skip the reading and just post your thoughts. I’ll more than likely be able to tell, and you will NOT get credit.

Podcasting and Javascript

Today in class, I went over how you can record an audio file, encode it as an mp3, and post it with an RSS file to make a podcast. Here’s one example that I did a few semesters back – DIG4716 Lectures. Feel free to use this as a reference for your RSS file. You can also review the information up on w3schools.

After, we covered an introduction to Javascript, discussing document.write, variables, the arithmetic operators, and the if/else statement.
